August 29, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$10

This event has been canceled.

Get to know important plants and practices you can use in your landscaping to better support pollinators and other wildlife. This two-part workshop starts with a presentation on your local pollinators and the habitat resources they need, followed by a garden tour workshop with discussion and examples of attractive ways to provide that habitat. We’ll discuss planting pollinator gardens and converting lawns and ag fields into pollinator meadows. We will collect native seeds and put together bee houses to take home as well.

Bio: Jacob Johnston is an Environmental Consultant working with landowners to improve the habitat value of private property in urban and rural settings. He has a Masters of Science from Cornell University and studies the effects of native plant contributions for wildlife in residential landscaping.
