Join ISA Certified Arborist Zane Lawyer for a Tree Planting Demonstration. Zane will give a short lecture on sourcing trees, what to look for in quality nursery stock, and simple site preparation. He will then demonstrate the best practices according to the ANSI Standards for tree planting and installation. This includes selecting the proper site, finding the right root depth, minor pruning of the roots or crown, and the many functions provided by mulch. Support systems, how to protect from wildlife, and simple maintenance during the time of establishment will also be discussed and demonstrated. Questions and discussions are encouraged throughout.
