Sometimes wedges just aren’t enough to lift a tree over its natural lean and towards its desired location. In other instances, a rope or line is used as a better “insurance policy” to ensure a tree from leaning back in the wrong direction. CFA will demonstrate the basics of how to set a line, knot-tying, rope tensioning, and making the final cut for felling. This course will not use traditional block and tackle, but instead a simple mechanical device or rope-along.
Prerequisite—Game of Logging Level I
Come prepared to use a chainsaw—Hard-hat, chaps, hearing/eye protection, boots, pants.
