WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST
This is one of my favorite chainsaws; It’s the only Echo I have, but it weighs 5 lbs. and has a slim profile that fits well in tight spots while pruning out densely growing trees. Unfortunately, I ran into muffler issues where it just wouldn’t run right after clogging with barely any use! After bringing it back to the dealer for years, I kind of gave up. Then I ran into a fellow Arborist at the NYS International Society of Arborists Conference in Monticello last month. He instructed me to put this EPS non-cat straight pipe muffler on it. Needless to say, my favorite saw is back. It might be small, but it screams like an angry bobcat, cuts fast, easier to use, and most of the time I forget I even have it on me.
