WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST
Another fire set on private land in New York State. This one was in Dutchess County to improve wildlife habitat & learn about fire behavior. Thank you to Zach Prusak of Tall Timbers who came up from Florida to show us how it’s done. Tall Timbers is recognized as the home of the study of fire ecology and is an advocate to protect the right to use prescribed fire for land management. It is also recognized as one of the nation’s leading land trusts.
