WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?
Well, it’s already happening; Fall is settling in despite what the calendar says. Nights are getting cooler and the deer’s red summer coats are growing darker and longer for winter. I noticed this black gum leaf turning it’s beautiful scarlet red. It was the first real sign of fall foliage I actually noticed. There is more now after a week, but seeing this leaf made me happy. I love fall. It’s the season of harvest; both for the fruits I love, like apples, pears, and grapes, to the deer I hunt. Bring on Fall.
