WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?
Yes, I see plenty of deer out there, but this was a first, especially considering where it occurred. I was hiking over near Kelly Hollow when I saw a deer about 40 yards ahead of me on the trail. I figured since the wind was in my face, I was luck & they simply didn’t pick up my scent. Nope, I was wrong. These deer didn’t care about me one bit. In fact, they moved in on me as I snapped photos of them from 5 yards away. They were digging under the leaves for what seemed to be plant roots or something. In any case, I still find deer fascinating, adaptable, and beautiful.
