Pressing apples for cider is a tale as old as time. Apple trees, growing wild or planted by farmers long ago, can be found all over the Catskill region. Though not all wild apples are good for fresh eating, plenty are perfect for cider-making. Take advantage of this abundant Catskill resource by learning to press your own!
Join CFA in welcoming the fall season with a demonstration on how to press apples straight from the tree into delicious, fresh cider. We will discuss equipment needed, pressing technique, best practices, and enjoy the fruits of our labor.
