WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST
When I first moved to my current house in 2012, I cut out all the poor-quality trees surrounding the property line. I left behind this kind of sorry looking red maple. It wasn’t harming anything since it isn’t too tall. It’s multi-stemmed or extremely bushy for a maple tree and barely grows; It is hardly taller than when I first saw it. But it has some of the most spectacular fall foliage of any red maple out there. The first photo shows the beginning signs of its fall foliage coming out recently. The others are from prior years in full foliage.
