WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?

Seen quite a few fishers this year while hunting. I know they’re around but haven’t had the privilege of seeing one in a few years. This year has been chock full with red fox, coyote, and fisher for me. I cannot recall ever seeing this many so abundantly. In any case the fisher I saw most recently was coincidentally seen within 30 minutes of a red fox that trotted through. The button-buck and I both watched the two walk on by. This button buck earlier that morning heard something in the darkness and decided to investigate the origin of the noise; It was me climbing up a tree to my tree-stand. When the noise “disappeared”, he just decided to plop down and chew his cud.
