WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?

So, I arrive the other day at a member’s property near the Pepacton Reservoir to assess an apple tree. After looking up at it, I tell him there’s a porcupine in it right now. As I’m pointing at the little guy, I’m thinking this isn’t really “porcupiny”. I don’t see any quills. Wait a second.

You learn something everyday, right. I never knew that groundhogs (woodchucks) can climb trees. This groundhog was found in an apple tree looking for–you guessed it–apples. He laid there for the entire time I spoke to the member; Didn’t seemed concerned.

May the forest be with you,
