WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?

Several years ago, while hiking in early fall, I snapped a photo of the sun hitting one of my favorite and familiar mountains. It stuck out to me & reminded me of that camping trip. Last September–while on my hiking trip again in the same area–I ran into a hunter during the Early Bear Hunting Season. We got talking a bit, since I think we were both surprised to see another human. Later on, I learned that hunter was an artist–Nathan Loda–after he sent me a painting of his from his hunting trip. It happened to be of the same mountain I took a photo of. I guess it stuck out to both of us. Though his painting seems to capture the brilliance of the sun–as I remember it–compared to my photo.

May the Forest Be with You,
