Chainsaw Sharpening & Maintenance

June 1 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

$10

chainsaw sharpening and maintenanceThe chainsaw is a must-have tool for most Catskill Mountain landowners, yet it can seem daunting to use and expensive to maintain. Join CFA’s Forest Program Manager, John MacNaught, for a hands-on workshop on how to maintain your saw to ensure a longer life (and save you money!). John will cover all the nuts and bolts of chainsaw maintenance, including:

                                        • how to properly sharpen your chain
                                        • how to resolve basic mechanical issues at home
                                        • an overview of Personal Protective Equipment
                                        • proper techniques to operate the saw safely

You are encouraged to bring along your own saw for more hands-on experience and understanding of your own equipment.
