WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?
I hope it lasts, but the kids’ favorite food is venison steak. They’ll choose steak over nuggets any day. When I was a kid, I probably would have gone for the nuggets. In any case, the bucks are chasing the does pretty well right now and I couldn’t resist taking this buck home. By luck, I found a good place where the deer were chowing down on acorns and the rest is history. Also, I noticed that this buck had a big chunk of his left ear torn away that had already healed. Maybe from a fight? Who knows. Temperatures are awfully warm out there, and I had to stuff this deer with ice while hanging for a day and half. Good luck.
