WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?

Somehow came across this blog online where people across the country had submitted old hunting photos. Many of them were intriguing for a variety of reasons, mainly the size of bucks taken back in the day. It wasn’t just their antlers, but their mass too. However, I always wondered or mythologized whether one could ride a moose & it turns out someone did. Or how about that old lady carrying that massive buck on her back while bearing a smile to boot. There were many photos of kids with guns; whether in a group by themselves or hunting with their dad. Field, forest, and family seemed so intertwined with these people. The simplicity of hunters stands out too. Many–like famous archer Fred Bear–just go out with pants, plaid shirt, and a hat.

May the Forest Be with You,
