WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE FOREST?

I hear it’s been hot as hell in other parts of the US, but this summer in the Catskills hasn’t been too bad. In fact, my family only visited the stream once to swim; It just hasn’t been balmy & in the 90s too much to warrant a visit. Instead, we’ve been watching “ancient television” or the wood-fire behind the house. Even after all the technology we have in our lives today–Ipads, Laptops, SmartTVs, SmartPhones, etc.–there is still something about watching wood burn that keeps one’s attention. If you add in the magic of “s’mores” with kids, burning wood is a winner. Besides, they still haven’t made a TV that can make a s’more yet.

May the Forest Be with You,
